Explore the vehicles the Habsburgs played with as children and went hunting with as adults, admire the splendour of their coronation and wedding carriages, and enjoy the amazing beauty of their riding gear and their magnificent garments. Follow the history of mobility from the litters of early modern times through the increasingly sophisticated carriages to the first automobiles and the racing cars of the 21st century. Last but not least, let yourself be enchanted by the story of Empress Elisabeth (“Sisi”): her extraordinary life is documented by unique cult objects and videos we produced specially for the exhibition.
